Artist's Description
This moss covered tree stump was found at Marymere Falls near Lake Crescent in the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. The eye (eyes) was carved out many years ago by loggers. The carved out space was used to place a spring board into and the loggers would stand on the board while falling this tree. This image was created by combining two symmetrical images, flopping one half to produce this anthropomorphic design.
